Wardrive Go detects nearby Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, and cellular signals and plots them on a radar and map. Your findings are processed and stored locally on your device.
Effective July 20, 2026. This policy explains what Wardrive Go collects, how that information is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
GPS location is used to geotag detected signals and place them on the map. Android also requires location permission for certain Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi scanning features.
The app passively records technical attributes broadcast by nearby devices and networks.
Wardrive Go acts as a passive listener. It does not join Wi‑Fi networks, connect to nearby Bluetooth devices, access network traffic, transmit to detected devices, or attempt to authenticate with any network.
The app has no user accounts, no login system, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Draw the radar, plot detections on the map, and categorize nearby signal types.
Calculate run statistics, lifetime totals, discoveries, and leaderboard values on your device.
Maintain your logged findings in the app's private database until you decide to remove them.
Prepare a WiGLE-compatible CSV file only when you choose to initiate an export.
All collected data is stored locally in the app's private database. It remains there until you delete it from within the app or uninstall Wardrive Go. Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored database. Nothing is uploaded to the developer.
The developer does not collect, receive, sell, rent, or share your logged signal data.
Data can leave your device in only these two situations:

You may revoke location or Bluetooth permissions at any time through Android Settings. Features that rely on those permissions, including scanning and geotagging, will stop working.
You may clear logged data using available in-app controls or uninstall Wardrive Go to remove the app and its private local database.
Exporting is optional. When you never export, your logged signal database remains on your device.
Map tile requests occur when map imagery is displayed. Radar and other app behavior may remain available depending on permissions and connectivity.
Passively logging publicly broadcast wireless signals is generally lawful in many places, but laws and regulations vary. You are responsible for using Wardrive Go in compliance with the laws that apply where you use it. The app does not connect to, authenticate with, or access any detected network or device.
This privacy policy may be updated as Wardrive Go evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date at the top of this page.
