A real-time open-source intelligence map that aggregates conflict events, military activity, and satellite thermal anomalies from multiple public data sources. Events are automatically collected, filtered, classified, and plotted every 15 minutes. All data is sourced from publicly available feeds — no classified or proprietary intelligence is used.

GDELT Project
The Global Database of Events, Language, and Tone monitors news media worldwide in 100+ languages, extracting conflict events using the CAMEO coding system. Events are filtered through 11 layers of validation including actor verification, geographic sanity checks, mention cross-referencing, and GKG theme confirmation.

NASA FIRMS
The Fire Information for Resource Management System provides near-real-time satellite data from VIIRS aboard the NOAA-20 satellite. Thermal anomalies are filtered using Fire Radiative Power (FRP) with tiered thresholds: 10MW+ in active conflict zones, 50MW+ in high-noise regions, and 75MW+ globally.

ADS-B Network (adsb.lol)
Provides real-time ADS-B aircraft tracking data with curated military aircraft identification from registration databases. Military aircraft are pre-filtered using verified database flags rather than heuristic matching.

GDELT DOC API
Powers the live news ticker at the bottom of the map with the latest conflict-related headlines from global media, updated with each data refresh cycle.
⚙ How It Works
Every 15 minutes, the aggregator fetches the latest GDELT event data across multiple 15-minute windows, cross-references each event against a mentions database and GKG theme tags, and applies strict filtering to eliminate false positives. Satellite thermal data from NASA FIRMS is filtered globally using Fire Radiative Power with tiered thresholds tuned per-region. Military aircraft positions are pulled from the adsb.lol network using curated database flags. All events are deduplicated by proximity and category before display.
